Circuvent Attendance
Attendance, access control and payroll-ready time data for your organisation
Terminals, the daily register and an API your payroll or HR system can read. Each organisation is kept separate. One Circuvent My Account signs you in.
What the register covers
The product that is running today: punches, shifts, doors, exports and the API. Nothing here is a customer count or a quote.
Check-in, check-out and terminals
People check in and out with a card on a Circuvent terminal, at the Windows front desk, or through the API. A terminal is claimed with a one-time code, sends a heartbeat, and can queue scans while it is offline.
Shifts and leave-aware attendance
Weekly shifts can sit on a site, a department or a person. Approved leave and holidays change the day. A day with no punches is absent only when that site was actually recording. Otherwise it stays unknown, and is not treated as loss of pay.
Access control
Every card is checked against the live roster: an active person, a live card, and the validity dates. On access terminals, site and zone rules decide the door. When two rules tie, a deny wins.
Payroll-ready exports
The register sums payable days, loss-of-pay days and unsettled days. Export them as JSON or CSV, then lock the period so those days cannot change underneath payroll. This is time data for payroll, not a pay run.
API and webhooks
Scoped API keys, idempotent writes and CSV. Webhooks are signed and retried, and the same events can be polled. HRMS can read the daily register, and Attendance can mirror employees from HRMS.
Separate organisations
Each organisation is its own tenant. Postgres row-level security isolates every tenant-owned row, including from the role the application uses.
Audit trail and security
Writes are stored with the actor, the IP address and a request id. Sessions are httpOnly cookies. API key secrets are stored as a hash, and webhook secrets are encrypted. A Circuvent support session is marked in the log.
How it works
Step 1
Sign in
Use your Circuvent My Account, or the email and password on that account. An employee opens their own attendance. An administrator opens the organisation.
Step 2
Record the day
Terminals, the front desk and the API record punches. Shifts, leave and holidays turn those punches into a daily register.
Step 3
Hand it to payroll and HR
Export the period, or let another system read it with an API key or a webhook. Lock the period when the figures should stop moving.

Questions
What does Circuvent Attendance do?
It keeps the daily register for an organisation: punches, shifts, leave, door decisions, and the time figures payroll and HR can read.
Does it run payroll?
No. It prepares payable days, loss-of-pay days and unsettled days. A period can be locked once those figures should stop changing. Salaries are paid in your payroll system.
Who can sign in?
Someone with an Attendance role in Circuvent My Account. Employees see their own attendance. Administrators, managers and viewers see the organisation, within that role.
Are organisations kept apart?
Yes. Each organisation is a tenant. The database isolates its rows with row-level security, so one organisation cannot read another.
How do terminals connect?
A terminal is claimed with a one-time code from the console, then talks HTTPS to this service. It can decide a door from the allow-list it already holds when the network is down, and upload the queued scans later.
How does HR or payroll integrate?
An administrator creates an API key and chooses scopes. Exports include CSV. Webhooks are signed, and there is an event feed for systems that cannot receive them. The reference is the API documentation. API documentation
Where are privacy, terms and contact?
They live on the Circuvent site, not in this app.
